LinkedIn Post: Consistent When It's Weird

Source: /opt/gcv-portfolio/captions/x8CeKQpTxB4.en.vtt — GCV social-media/consistency talk, ~00:00:02–00:00:40 opener + ~14:30–15:21 get-started close

The thing that builds consistency with the people who matter most isn't discipline. It's your ability to keep communicating on a regular basis even when things are weird in your personal life, unsteady in your family, or strange inside the organization.

A real human can't be everywhere at once. Sometimes we say "I can't do that right now," and the people around us say "yeah, you can't," and the whole conversation stops there.

So write the messaging before you need it. Then the next time there's a last-minute emergency, the message is already sitting there ready. The other stuff that has to go out is already done. No extra stress. You do it during the times that actually fit your life. If you're a voice-notes-in-the-shower person, this works for you.

And don't wait for a better camera, or a better app, or a better spokesperson. A year goes by real fast while you wait on that. Just hold your phone up wherever you are and talk to people about what you're doing. Wherever you are is good enough to get started.

The consistency people trust isn't the flawless kind. It's the kind that still shows up when your life is sideways, because the message was already built before you needed it.
