LinkedIn Post: You're Posting for the Wrong 3%

Most artists and founders are underwater on social media for one reason. They're posting to the wrong people.
You aim every post at the 3% who are already ready to buy the album, read the book, go vote. The people who've decided. Meanwhile you ignore the 97% who are just there to hang out with their friends.
That 97% is the actual audience. They're the ones who watch, who send it to somebody, who become the reason the 3% eventually shows up. If you only ever talk to the already-converted, you never build the crowd that convinces them.
I watch the people I work with in Atlanta do this constantly. They make something good and point it straight at the buyer, and the buyer isn't listening yet. The buyer doesn't know them. Their friends do. You have to make something the 97% would actually sit through and pass along.
It's not about posting more. It's about knowing who the post is for.
Next time you sit down to write, ask who it's actually aimed at. If it's only for the people who already decided, nobody's really there to hear it.
