Right before we went on air, both of us were talking about how idiot boss syndrome is running amok.

Then the turn. You reach a time in your life where you've done enough of the work that it doesn't make logical sense for you to work for someone else. I'm doing more stuff than the person that's paying me. What's happening here.

I started with absolutely no skill in marketing, and it was many years ago. Every step of what people see that looks like magic represents some experience I had, or something someone taught me, or a tutorial I read and actually applied. A lot of what people see now is really hard-won experience.

Nobody sent me a note the day I was done working for other people. You just look up one day and the math has changed.

If you've got more reps than the person signing your check, you already know which one of you is the bottleneck.
