Context
Atlanta Contemporary is a nonprofit contemporary art center at 535 Means St NW in West Midtown. Founded in 1973 as Nexus — an artists' cooperative that created its own infrastructure before any institution was going to do it. Now running 125+ public programs and 25+ exhibitions per year with free admission.
The GCV alignment is direct: this is an organization whose entire reason for existing is making art and community narrative visible to people who wouldn't otherwise see it. Free admission means they're already committed to access. The documentation record for that volume of programming — the openings, the community events, the artist talks — is probably thinner than it should be. A short reel from a single program is an easy yes for a comms person who's already trying to get more eyes on what they do.
The offer: Free 60-second reel from an exhibition opening, artist talk, or community program of their choosing. No ask, they keep the footage.
What I don't have: Named contact. Check atlantacontemporary.org/about or /staff before submitting the form — an executive director or communications/marketing lead is the right entry point. If a direct email is listed, prefer that over the contact form.

Subject: Free reel for Atlanta Contemporary
[Name —]
Atlanta Contemporary started as Nexus in 1973 — artists making space for themselves before anyone else was going to do it. Fifty years later you're running 25 exhibitions a year out of West Midtown with free admission. That's a story worth documenting better than phone video.
I make short documentary reels for mission-driven organizations in Atlanta. Ghost Coast Video. I'd like to offer Atlanta Contemporary a free 60-second piece from an opening, an artist talk, or a community program of your choosing. No strings — you keep the footage.
If there's something on the calendar, reply here and we can figure it out.

Before sending
1. Find a named contact. Check atlantacontemporary.org — look for an executive director, communications director, or marketing/programs staff. The message body works without a name but the greeting should be a real person if findable.
2. Verify email vs. contact form. If they list a direct email for a specific staff person, use that. Web contact forms often get buried; a named inbox lands better.
3. Check the exhibition calendar. atlantacontemporary.org/exhibitions — if there's an opening or community program coming up in the next 4–6 weeks, you can sharpen the offer to name it specifically. The Nexus history reference is already grounded but a timely event hook is stronger.
4. Word count: 97 words in the message body. Good.
