Context

The CICDC is the 501(c)3 that holds the literal physical infrastructure of Cabbagetown community life. Established in 1999 by the Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association (CNIA) to create a park in the heart of the neighborhood, it now maintains — in cooperation with the City of Atlanta — the Cabbagetown Community Center, Cabbagetown Park, and the Cabbagetown Community Garden. It also keeps the Wylie Street mural corridor alive through Forward Warrior, the public art installation on Wylie Street founded and curated by Peter Ferrari, and it runs Chomp & Stomp, the neighborhood bluegrass and chili festival that is Cabbagetown's biggest fundraiser of the year. Its own mission line: "to enhance quality of life by empowering neighbors to act collectively for community development."

The video angle is the stewardship itself. The work happens in a park, a garden, a community center, and on a mural wall — spaces a donor page can describe but a phone never catches when they're full of neighbors. Forward Warrior closes Wylie Street to cars so artists can paint live; Chomp & Stomp fills Cabbagetown Park with 70+ chili tents and a bluegrass stage. That's the asset video captures and a fundraising letter can't.

The offer: A free 60–90 second piece — Forward Warrior Weekend, Chomp & Stomp, or the garden and the park on a normal day. They own the footage, no strings on the first piece.

What I don't have: A verified direct email for John Dirga. The CICDC page lists him as Executive Director (in a "Board of Directors (2025)" block) and the current 2026 Forward Warrior page names him as Director managing the festival, but the only published inbox is the general info@cabbagetown.com. Greeting below assumes the general inbox routes to him or to whoever handles community partnerships.

Subject: Free video for Forward Warrior / Chomp & Stomp

John —

Forward Warrior's closing Wylie Street this month so artists can paint live, and Chomp & Stomp is the first Saturday in November. Both of them fund the park, the community center, and the garden the Cabbagetown Initiative keeps running year-round — and that stewardship is the thing a donor page can describe but can't show: the wall full of artists, the park full of neighbors, the chili tents going up.

I make short documentary reels for mission-driven orgs in Atlanta — Ghost Coast Video. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second piece for you: Forward Warrior Weekend, Chomp & Stomp, or the garden on a normal day. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.

Worth a reply?

Hey — Ghost Coast Video, I make short documentary reels for Atlanta nonprofits.

Forward Warrior's next weekend and Chomp & Stomp is the first Saturday in November. Both fund the park, the community center, and the garden the Cabbagetown Initiative keeps running. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second piece — the wall full of artists, the park full of neighbors, the chili tents. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.

Before sending

1. Channel correction — targets.md E7 listed FB facebook.com/cabbagetowninitiative. That's not the org's real Facebook. The neighborhood's published social is the Facebook group facebook.com/groups/CabbagetownATL and Instagram @cabbagetownusa. Forward Warrior runs its own @forwardwarrior / facebook.com/forwardwarrior. I updated the E7 channel cell this session; Brandyn should sanity-check before trusting either.

2. No direct email published for John Dirga. The site routes general inquiries through info@cabbagetown.com and a contact form (cabbagetown.com/contact). Addressing "John" in the email assumes the general inbox reaches the ED; if Brandyn wants a named direct line, that's a quick LinkedIn/phone check. A generic greeting also works.

3. Leadership is from the "2025" board block, but Dirga is current. The CICDC page lists "Board of Directors (2025)" with President Brandon Sutton and ED John Dirga. Separately, the live 2026 Forward Warrior page names "John Dirga, Director" as managing this September's festival, which confirms he's still running the event in 2026. Address him, but treat the 2025 roster as possibly rotated.

4. Forward Warrior is time-boxed — it's this month (Sept 18–20, 2026). The email leads with "closing Wylie Street this month," which is only true for about a week. If this goes out after Sept 20, 2026, drop the Forward Warrior urgency and lead with Chomp & Stomp (first Saturday in November) instead — everything else still holds.

5. "Peachy Park" (from targets.md E7) didn't surface on the current site. The verified spaces are Cabbagetown Park, the Community Center, the Community Garden, and the Wylie Street murals. I left Peachy Park out of the draft rather than cite an unverified space.

6. Keep distinct from the other Cabbagetown-adjacent drafts. Little's (D9) is the grocery/grill/bottle-shop; 97 Estoria (E6) is the arts-market patio; Trackside (D10) is the late-night-dive-rebuilt-after-fire. This one is the community-nonprofit / public-spaces steward — do not reuse their copy, do not batch-send.

7. No fabricated relationships or metrics. CICDC is a cold prospect, not a client. Facts verified this session from cabbagetown.com (live, Sept 2026 calendar current): 1999 founding by CNIA, 501(c)3, "Energizing Public Spaces" tagline, maintains park + center + garden with the City, manages Chomp & Stomp (chili/bluegrass, first Saturday November, biggest fundraiser) and Forward Warrior (Wylie St mural project, curated by Peter Ferrari, managed by John Dirga). No invented metrics, dates, or testimonials. No AI attribution.

8. Word counts: ~118 words in the email body, ~80 words in the DM. Both under cap.
