Context
Distillery of Modern Art is not a distillery that hung some art on the wall. "The Art of the Spirit" is the whole build: a working distillery, a cocktail lounge, and a gallery, all in one Chamblee building. The Watson Gallery is named for the founder, Seth Watson. The Kandinsky Tasting Room is named for Kandinsky — which is also Seth Watson's favorite artist, listed right on the About page. And every bottle they put out has a unique print behind the label, a small piece of art attached to the craft inside. The founders' taste is baked into the rooms and the labels themselves, not added as decoration.
The programming runs the same way. Sip & Sculpt, a flower-arranging workshop called Flower Power, Mom's Unhinged Comedy Night, and a rotating gallery schedule — right now the Watson Gallery is showing "The Spirit of Chamblee," sixteen paintings of the same town made by Diana Toma and her art students over five months, with the opening reception Sept 19. That's a place where the human side is the whole product: a room of people making something with a drink in hand, a gallery wall that changes every few months, ticketed nights that only exist in person.
The offer: A free 60–90 second piece, their call on what to capture — the room during Sip & Sculpt, the gallery the week a new show goes up, the label art, the stills. They own the footage, no strings on the first piece.
What I have: Two named decision-makers — Russell Gottschalk (Director of Operations and Market Awareness) and Becky Sowemimo (Director of Events) — plus the founders Seth Watson and Matt Greif. Russell's address is the one published for gallery/awareness inquiries (russell (at) distilleryofmodernart (dot) com); the functional inboxes events@, gallery@, and info@ are published on the Contact page. Every fact above is from distilleryofmodernart.com this session.

Subject: Free 60–90 second reel for DoMA
Russell —
Every bottle DoMA puts out has a print behind the label, the gallery's named for Seth Watson, and the tasting room's named for his favorite painter. "The Art of the Spirit" isn't a slogan — it's how the place is built.
The site can list Sip & Sculpt and a flower workshop. It can't show a room of people making art with a drink in hand, or the Watson Gallery the week "The Spirit of Chamblee" goes up.
I shoot short documentary reels in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second piece, your call what to capture. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.

Hey — Ghost Coast Video, I shoot short documentary reels in Atlanta.

Before sending
1. Route to Russell Gottschalk via russell@distilleryofmodernart.com — the address is published in de-obfuscated form. The Watson Gallery page says to email "russell (at) distilleryofmodernart (dot) com" for gallery submissions. Russell's title is Director of Operations and Market Awareness, so a reel-offer lands in his lane. If Brandyn prefers a guaranteed-clean published inbox, events@distilleryofmodernart.com (Becky Sowemimo, Director of Events) is the alternate — the pitch is event-driven visual content, so events is also a fair recipient. info@distilleryofmodernart.com is the safe fallback.
2. Org verified active this session. distilleryofmodernart.com is live (Shopify, © 2026) with a current About page (team headshots dated into 2026), current Events, the Watson Gallery page, and a footer confirming the address and hours.
3. The hook is the label-art-plus-named-rooms detail, not a spirits list. Every fact in the copy is from the site: the unique print behind each label (homepage), the Watson Gallery "named after founder Seth Watson" (gallery page), Seth Watson listing Kandinsky as his favorite artist (About page), and the Kandinsky Tasting Room name. Do not add sales figures, barrel counts, awards, or ratings — none were verified. I left the "Awards & Press" page alone rather than lean on dated accolades.
4. Current show + programming confirmed. "The Spirit of Chamblee" by Diana Toma and her art students runs Sept 11 – Nov 1, 2026, with the opening reception Sept 19 ($22) — the gallery page itself describes it as "16 different ways of seeing it." Sip & Sculpt ($82) and Flower Power flower-arranging ($99) are live on the events list, plus Mom's Unhinged Comedy Night and a Falcons watch party. These are the ticketed nights a static page can't show.
5. Handles confirmed, not guessed. Instagram instagram.com/distilleryofmodernart is linked from the homepage ("Check our social media"). Address 2197 Irvindale Dr., Chamblee, GA 30341 (the targets.md F9 cell omitted the 30341 zip). Phone (404) 482-2663 confirmed in the footer. Full functional inboxes on the Contact page: events@, tours@, gallery@, jobs@, plus a media address (DOMA@sprouthouseagency.com, their PR agency).
6. Named contacts confirmed from the About page team list. Seth Watson (Founder), Matt Greif (Head Distiller), Russell Gottschalk (Director of Operations and Market Awareness), Becky Sowemimo (Director of Events), Matt Furedy (Georgia Market Manager), Chaunce Cooper (Bar Manager), Jon Franklin (Assistant Distiller), Salina Copeland (Production Manager), Brandon Frazier (Packaging Manager), Chris Jones (Production Assistant). No fabrication — every name is on the site.
7. Keep distinct from the other arts/food drafts. ZuCot (F4) is a fine-art gallery pitched on "the work itself, in the room"; No Más! Cantina (F5) is a restaurant/event venue; Arches Brewing (F8) is an East Point brewery pitched on the 2024 relocation; Twain's (C14) is a Decatur brewpub with a billiards room. DoMA's own story is the distillery-plus-gallery hybrid — the labels are art, the rooms are named for the founder and his favorite painter, and the programming is ticketed creative events. Do not reuse their copy, do not batch-send with F10–F13.
8. Word counts: ~115 words email body, ~72 words DM. Both at or under cap.
9. No fabricated metrics or relationships. DoMA is a cold prospect, not a client. Every fact is from distilleryofmodernart.com this session. No invented sales figures, gallery rosters, event attendance, or testimonials. No AI attribution.
