Context

EarthTone has been on Euclid Ave for about 18 years. Custom apparel, Black-owned, right in the heart of L5P. Most retail doesn't last 18 months on that block — they've outlasted a recession, the pandemic, and multiple waves of whatever L5P has been becoming.

Custom apparel is an interesting category for video: they're not selling off a rack, they're embedded in how Atlanta's community groups, local bands, event organizers, and small businesses present themselves. The clients are the story as much as the shop is.

The hook: a 60-second reel of the shop, the work, the hands making the actual product. Not lifestyle. The specific textures, the samples on the wall, what a custom run looks like from blank to finished. That's a piece of content EarthTone could use everywhere — Instagram, the front page of a pitch deck, anywhere they need to show what they actually do.

No owner name confirmed. No email. Approach by phone first; if no answer, IG DM is a clean second option. Walk-in is best if Brandyn is in L5P anyway.

Relevant GCV work to reference if they reply: Ghost Coast Video. If they ask for examples, point to the L5P series framing — you're documenting neighborhood businesses. Don't over-explain in the cold call.

Offer: Free 60-second reel. Same frame as Cloud 9, Sister Louisa's, Dad's Garage.

Phone script — if they pick up

"Hey, this is Brandyn — I do short video work for small businesses and venues in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. I'm putting together a Little Five Points series right now, documenting the shops and the people running them. EarthTone's been on Euclid for what — 18 years? That's a real story and I'd like to put a free reel together for y'all. No pitch, you keep the footage. Is that something worth a quick conversation with whoever handles that side of things?"

Keep it under 45 seconds. If they hand you off or ask for a callback time, get a name before you hang up.

Voicemail — if no answer

"Hey, this is Brandyn. I do video work for small businesses in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. I'm working on a Little Five Points series and EarthTone's on my list — 18 years on Euclid is worth documenting properly. I'd like to offer a free 60-second reel, no strings. Number's [YOUR NUMBER]. No pressure."

Under 20 seconds. Don't over-explain.

Instagram DM (@earthtone13) — backup if phone doesn't connect

18 years on Euclid Ave. That's not common.

I shoot spaces and businesses in Atlanta. Ghost Coast Video. Doing a Little Five Points series right now — documenting the shops and the people running them. Happy to put together a free 60-second reel for EarthTone if you're ever open to it.

— Brandyn / ghostcoast.video

Short. Under 50 words. Don't pitch, don't over-explain.

Walk-in

Walk-in is the best option if you're already in the neighborhood. Lead the same as the phone script — you're working on an L5P series, 18 years on the block is the specific thing you noticed, free reel with no strings. Ask for whoever makes decisions and leave a card.

Before calling / walking in

1. Know one specific thing to name. "18 years on Euclid" is the anchor — use it. If you've been in the shop before or know what they're known for (screen printing, embroidery, event shirts), add that. It signals homework.

2. No email found. IG DM (@earthtone13) or FB (EarthTone13) are the digital fallbacks if phone goes cold.

3. Owner name not confirmed in research. If you know who runs it from prior visits, address them by name. If not, "whoever handles that side of things" is fine on the phone.

4. Check their IG before reaching out. If they recently posted a custom order, a collaboration, or community event gear, you can sharpen the opener: "Saw the [thing] you posted last week — that's exactly the kind of work that reads well on a short reel."

5. If they're cold: note in targets.md (status → nurture), try walk-in instead. In-person lands warmer than a call they didn't expect, especially for a shop that's been around long enough to have heard every pitch.
