Context
Food Terminal is a Malaysian street-food restaurant, but the reason it exists is a person, not a menu. The site's own story: at 15, Amy was selling street-style noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia. She and Howie came to the U.S. to chase the restaurant dream, built Top Spice and Sweet Hut first, and then opened Food Terminal to carry "the most authentic Asian-style street taste and experience to Buford Highway." The menu pulls from Malaysian cooking's overlapping roots — India, Guangzhou, Hokkien, Teochew, Hakka — the way Buford Highway itself pulls from a dozen immigrant food traditions at once.
That founder story is doing the work on a static page, and it shouldn't be. A 15-year-old behind a noodle kiosk becoming a four-location Atlanta restaurant family is a video, not a paragraph. The page can list the garlic bone marrow and the Ipoh ho fun and a Michelin Guide mention. What it can't show is the noodle work in the kitchen, the two people who built it, or the block on Buford Highway where the whole concept was aimed.
The offer: A free 60–90 second piece, their call on what to capture — the kitchen during service, the founders, the room, the dish coming together. They own the footage, no strings on the first piece.
What I have: The founders' first names and their origin story, verified from the site this session. No direct email for either founder and no named manager — the published inbox is info@foodterminal.com, so the greeting is "Amy and Howie" but the message lands in a general box. Every fact above is from foodterminal.com this session.

Subject: A free 60–90 second reel for Food Terminal
Amy and Howie —
Amy was fifteen, selling street noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia. Now it's four Food Terminals and a Michelin Guide mention, and the mission on the site is still the same line: the most authentic Asian-style street taste on Buford Highway.
The menu can list the garlic bone marrow and the Ipoh ho fun. It can't show the noodle work behind them, or the two of you who built Top Spice and Sweet Hut first.
I shoot short documentary reels in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second piece, your call what to capture. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.

Hey — Ghost Coast Video, I shoot short documentary reels in Atlanta.
Amy started at fifteen selling street noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia; now it's four Food Terminals and a Michelin Guide mention. The menu can list the garlic bone marrow; it can't show the noodle work, or the two people who built Top Spice and Sweet Hut before this. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second reel. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.
Worth a message back?

Before sending
1. Email goes to info@foodterminal.com — the only published inbox (Contact section of the homepage). The founders are Amy and Howie (first names only; the site never publishes surnames), but there is no direct address for either and no named marketing/events/GM contact anywhere on the site. The greeting "Amy and Howie" is real — both names are on the homepage's own story — but the message lands in a general box. If Brandyn can pull a direct founder or manager address (or a name from LinkedIn), address that person instead; otherwise the founders-by-first-name greeting to info@ is the honest version.
2. Org verified active this session. foodterminal.com is live (Squarespace) with a current location list — four locations now, not one: Chamblee (5000 Buford Hwy B201, GA 30341), West Midtown (1000 Marietta St NW, Atlanta 30318), Alpharetta (6360 North Point Pkwy, 30022), Sandy Springs (6550 Aria Blvd, 30328). Holiday-hours blocks updated through New Year's Day 2026, so the site is being maintained even though the footer copyright reads a stale "2017." The 5000 Buford Hwy B201, Chamblee address and the (678) 353-6110 phone both confirmed on the site.
3. The hook is the founder origin story, not a dish list. The "at 15 selling street noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia" line, the Top Spice / Sweet Hut lineage, and the "most authentic Asian-style street taste to Buford Highway" mission are all on the homepage verbatim. Lead there. The garlic-bone-marrow and Ipoh-ho-fun references are their own featured dishes (the "Some of Our Favorites" section), used as concrete nouns, not as a menu recital.
4. Michelin Guide — characterize it precisely, don't inflate it. The homepage displays a Michelin Guide badge that links to the Michelin Guide inspectors' "Best Dishes in Atlanta" roundup (guide.michelin.com, an October 2023 article). That is a Michelin Guide mention, not a star and not a Bib Gourmand. The copy says "a Michelin Guide mention" for exactly this reason. Do not write "Michelin star" or "Bib Gourmand" anywhere — neither is claimed by the site.
5. Surnames not published — do not invent them. Amy and Howie appear with first names only on the site. The dispatch asked to confirm their surnames; the site does not give them, and I did not guess. Leave them as first names, or let Brandyn fill in surnames if he knows them. Do not add a last name.
6. Handles confirmed, not guessed. Instagram instagram.com/foodterminalATL and Twitter twitter.com/foodterminalATL are linked in the site footer. Facebook is linked twice: the footer points to facebook.com/foodterminalUSA and the top-nav social icon points to facebook.com/foodterminalATL. I put the footer's foodterminalUSA as the canonical FB link and flagged the discrepancy; verify which is live before sending if Facebook matters for the outreach.
7. The four-location growth is a real enrichment, not a flub. targets.md F10 lists a single Chamblee address. The site now lists Chamblee, West Midtown, Alpharetta, and Sandy Springs. The pitch still anchors on the Chamblee / Buford Highway flagship (that's the mission's stated target), but the "four Food Terminals" line in the copy reflects the current reality.
8. Keep distinct from the other restaurant/venue drafts. No Más! Cantina (F5) is a Mexican restaurant + artisan market + events machine in Castleberry Hill, pitched on the room-in-motion. Talat Market (E9) is a Michelin-recognized Thai pop-up-to-brick-and-mortar in Summerhill, pitched on the community pop-up origin. Chattahoochee Food Works (H8) was a game-night hosting ask, not a reel offer. Food Terminal's own story is the immigrant-founder lineage — a 15-year-old noodle-kiosk vendor who built Top Spice and Sweet Hut and now runs four Malaysian restaurants on and around Buford Highway. Do not reuse their copy; do not batch-send with F11–F13.
9. Word counts: ~118 words email body, ~73 words DM. Both at or under cap.
10. No fabricated metrics or relationships. Food Terminal is a cold prospect, not a client. Every fact is from foodterminal.com this session — the founder story, the Top Spice / Sweet Hut lineage, the mission line, the four locations, the featured dishes, the Michelin Guide badge. No invented sales figures, star/Bib ratings, critic quotes, or testimonials. No AI attribution.
Status log
- 2026-09-13: draft written by night-shift worker. Verified Food Terminal active and real — foodterminal.com live (Squarespace) with a current four-location list and holiday hours updated through New Year's Day 2026. Confirmed the founder origin story (Amy selling street-style noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia at 15, then building Top Spice and Sweet Hut with Howie before Food Terminal), the "most authentic Asian-style street taste and experience to Buford Highway" mission, the Michelin Guide recognition (a "Best Dishes in Atlanta" inspectors' mention, not a star or Bib Gourmand), the 5000 Buford Hwy B201, Chamblee address (30341), and the phone (678) 353-6110. Found that the brand has grown to four locations (Chamblee, West Midtown, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs) — an enrichment over the single-address F10 row. No named marketing/events/GM contact and no founder surnames are published, so the greeting addresses the founders by first name and routes through info@foodterminal.com. Confirmed IG @foodterminalATL; FB is linked as both foodterminalUSA (footer) and foodterminalATL (nav icon), flagged for verification. Enriched the F10 channel cell and marked F10 drafted. Awaiting Brandyn review before sending.
