Julius Milanes — Follow-Up Sequence

Contact: Julius Milanes — NSFW Podcast E130 guest

Context: Filmmaker/screenwriter, Albuquerque. Building SAFE — an original tokusatsu superhero feature. Muslim convert (Dec 2019). Former hotel night auditor and video game journalist. Runs a Wednesday-night writers' room with Chris and Sarah.

Channel: Instagram DM @julias.gcv (primary) / Threads @julias.gcv (secondary)

First touch: Offered the free "we can do this better" origin clip (~90s) for the June launch. See /root/lilith-grove/registry/leads/drafts/nsfw-b5-julius-milanes.md.

This sequence: Picks up after the first-touch DM, assuming no reply. Every touch delivers a different concrete asset or door, never a "just checking in."

Touch 1 — The 30-second cutdown (~5–7 days after first touch)

Channel: Instagram DM @julias.gcv

Julius —

>

Cut a shorter version of that "we can do this better" bit. Thirty seconds instead of ninety. The full one's the origin story; this one's the shareable. The "different mindset, a different perspective, one that's more relatable" line lands inside the first twenty seconds, and it ends on the everyman-turned-super thought.

>

Sending it over now. Use it or don't.

~60 words. Delivers a second, tighter asset from the same moment — a feed-length cutdown rather than the story cut. Nothing to ask for; the clip is already cut and attached.

Touch 2 — The Muslim-representation clip (~2 weeks after Touch 1)

Channel: Threads @julias.gcv

Julius —

>

Also cut the representation segment. The part where you say you don't have to wear the hijab or go to the mosque to be Muslim, that faith shows up all different ways. About 75 seconds.

>

That one plays to a different room than the origin clip — Muslim creatives and film people, not the June-launch crowd. It's yours for whenever it's useful.

~60 words. A second distinct asset aimed at a different audience. Only send if this clip is actually cut.

Touch 3 — June window + the network (~2 weeks after Touch 2)

Channel: Instagram DM @julias.gcv

Julius —

>

You're launching the site in June and the trailer's the priority for the next six months. Two things that could help before then.

>

We already told people on the episode to drop their info at ghostcoast.video/network. If you want, I'll flag the SAFE people in there so you get first look at anyone with film or editing skills. And if there's a cut you want ready for when the site goes live, I'll have it done ahead of time.

~80 words. Ties to the real June/trailer timeline and the network mention from the episode itself. The network offer is a handoff, not a pitch.

Touch 4 — Writers' room teaser idea (~2–3 weeks after Touch 3)

Channel: Instagram DM @julias.gcv

Julius —

>

Idea, no pressure. Before the trailer drops, run a little behind-the-scenes of the writers' room — the Wednesday nights with you and Chris and Sarah. People get invested in the people making the thing before they ever see the thing. It's stuff you already do anyway; it just needs someone holding a phone.

>

I can cut those into short teasers as you go. Happy to help with that whether or not we do anything bigger.

~75 words. A small craft idea as the last door-open. Chris, Sarah, and the Wednesday room are real, from the episode. Not a pitch.

Touch 5 — Graceful close (~3–4 weeks after Touch 4)

Channel: Instagram DM @julias.gcv

Julius —

>

Not gonna keep sending these. The clips are yours whenever you want them, and if you ever want the network intro or help with teasers around the trailer, say the word.

>

Talk soon.

~40 words. No recap, no ask, no wrap-up. Leaves everything standing. The last line only works because they talk regularly; don't send it if you can't mean it.

Sequence notes

- Paid clip retainer or production work — hold until he's engaged.

- The two bad films he references are deliberately unnamed in the episode. Never name them in any touch.

- Studio/pitch specifics — his trailer strategy is his; don't poke at it beyond the timing hook.
