Context

L5PCC is the institutional spine of Little Five Points — the converted school building on Euclid that's home to theatre groups, radio, visual arts studios, and activist orgs under one roof. It's not a bar or a restaurant that happens to have community values; it's an arts center that exists specifically because the neighborhood decided to hold onto something. That's a different kind of place to work with.

The offer here is a short documentary-style reel of their space and programming — free, no strings, theirs to use for fundraising and their website. That's the hook. The realistic longer play is paid partnerships and L5PCC as a host venue for Sun & Moonlight game nights — but none of that belongs in a cold email to a nonprofit director. The reel offer stands on its own as a useful thing, which is how it should be presented.

Relevant GCV comps if they reply:

None of these belong in the cold email. They're here if the conversation opens.

What I don't have: Director's name. Check l5pcc.org before sending — if a director or executive director is listed, address them directly.

Subject: Documentary reel of L5PCC — free, for your fundraising

[Director's name] —

L5PCC is the kind of place that's harder to explain than it is to show.

I shoot video in Atlanta — documentary-style, mostly for nonprofits and community orgs that need their story told to people who didn't already know to care. I'd like to offer L5PCC a short reel of your space and programming, free, for you to use on your website or in fundraising. You own the footage.

The idea is to give you something useful, not to sell you something. If you want to see the kind of work I do first, I can send a link.

Before sending

1. Find the director's name. Check l5pcc.org — there's usually a staff page or an about page with the ED listed. A named greeting matters here.

2. Fundraising is a real hook. L5PCC is a nonprofit that raises money from the community — a reel they can use for their annual fund or grant applications is genuinely valuable. The email says that directly without being heavy about it.

3. "Harder to explain than it is to show" — this opener is specific to what L5PCC actually is: a multi-tenant arts center in a building that's hard to describe in a sentence. Don't genericize it.

4. Do not mention Sun & Moonlight or paid partnerships in the opener. That's the long game. The reel offer earns the right to have a follow-up conversation.

5. Check if they have upcoming programming or a fundraiser campaign. If they're mid-campaign or just announced something, you can sharpen the opener to name it. "I saw you're in the middle of [fundraiser name]" is more specific than the general hook.

6. Under 100 words in the body. Don't add to it.
