Context

Patrice Hull started Stuff We Wanna Say / C2BN out of a layoff. That's the story — not "a Black-owned business in L5P" (there are 20 of those), but a specific person who got cut from a corporate job, bought a heat press, and built a brand out of it. C2BN. Custom to be noticed, or whatever the full expansion is — the point is she made it, it's in L5P, and it's been going long enough to have a second domain name.

Custom tees are exactly the kind of product that looks nothing on a rack and everything on a video. You can show the press, the blank, the heat transfer going on, the finished shirt. You can show who's in the shop, what they're ordering, the event gear hanging on the wall. That reel writes itself.

The play is the same as EarthTone, Cloud 9, all of them: free 60-90s reel, they keep the footage, Brandyn keeps it for the portfolio. No email means Facebook DM or phone are the real channels. Walk-in works if Brandyn's in the neighborhood.

Relevant GCV work: Ghost Coast Video, the L5P series framing. Same offer as the rest of the block: you're documenting the neighborhood, free reel, no strings.

No Instagram handle confirmed. The research surfaced FB @Stuffwewannasay and c2bn.com but no IG. Check their Facebook page before messaging — there may be a linked IG. If so, DM on IG instead (warmer channel).

Facebook DM (@Stuffwewannasay)

Patrice — I run a video studio out here in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video.

I'm doing a Little Five Points series right now — short features on the people who actually built the neighborhood, not the ones who showed up last year. Your story going from a corporate layoff to a heat press to C2BN is exactly the kind of thing that reads on video. Like, that's a real story.

I'd love to put a free 60-second reel together for you. You keep it, post it, do whatever. No pitch. I just think the shops that have actually been doing the work deserve better content than a phone photo.

Worth a conversation?

Under 120 words. Don't shrink it further — the specificity earns the length.

Phone script — if they pick up

"Hey, is this Patrice? This is Brandyn — I do short video work for small businesses in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. I'm working on a Little Five Points series right now, documenting the shops and the people running them. Your story — the layoff, the heat press, building C2BN out of that — that's a reel that writes itself. I wanted to offer to put something together for you, totally free, you keep the footage. Is that worth five minutes of your time?"

If you get someone other than Patrice: "Is Patrice available, or is there a good time to reach her?"

Voicemail

"Hey Patrice, this is Brandyn — I do video for small businesses in Atlanta, Ghost Coast Video. Working on an L5P series right now. Your story going from a layoff to C2BN is the kind of thing I'd love to put a free reel together on. No pitch, you'd keep the footage. Number's [YOUR NUMBER]. No pressure."

Under 20 seconds.

Subject: Free 60-second reel for C2BN / Little Five Points

Patrice —

I do short video work for small businesses and venues in Atlanta — Ghost Coast Video.

I'm putting together a Little Five Points series right now, documenting the shops and the people who actually built the neighborhood. Your story — laid off, bought a heat press, built C2BN from that — that's the kind of founding story that lands on a 60-second reel.

I'd like to offer to shoot it for free. You'd keep the footage to post wherever. I'd keep it for my portfolio. That's the whole deal.

If that's worth a conversation, I'm easy to reach. No pitch, no upsell.

If no form works on either site, skip and go phone or Facebook.

Walk-in

Use the same beat as the phone script: the layoff → heat press → C2BN story is the specific thing you noticed. Lead with that. Ask for Patrice by name. If she's not in, leave a card and ask when she's usually there.

Walk-in is the best option if Brandyn's already in L5P. The specificity of knowing her founding story signals real homework, not a cold sales swing.

Before reaching out

1. Verify IG handle. Pull up @Stuffwewannasay on Facebook — there may be a linked Instagram. If there's an IG with any activity, DM there instead of FB.

2. Check their FB feed first. If there's a recent post — a custom order they did, an event they supplied gear for, a repost of a customer — you can sharpen the FB DM opener: "Saw the [thing] you just posted — that's the kind of work that looks incredible in a 60-second reel."

3. Owner name is confirmed: Patrice Hull. Address her by name in every channel.

4. No email. Don't hunt for one — if it's not findable, it's not the channel they want to use.

5. If phone goes to voicemail: leave the voicemail above, then follow up with the Facebook DM 48 hours later. Don't do both at once.
