Context

Westside Future Fund is the place-based nonprofit rebuilding Atlanta's historic Westside — Vine City, English Avenue, the Atlanta University Center, Ashview Heights, and Just Us — into mixed-income communities "without displacing the people who've long called it home." It runs Home on the Westside (rent, buy, or retain your home, including property-tax assistance), the monthly Transform Westside Summit, a Ride for the Westside benefit, and a "Stories of Impact" feed that documents the work in real time.

The video angle is the anti-displacement line itself. A website can state the mission, but it can't show what "without displacing the people who've called it home" actually looks like: new neighbors moving onto English Avenue, a longtime homeowner staying in Vine City, a Summit room full of people who've been on the Westside for generations. That's the decades-scale neighborhood story, and it's the one thing a donor page can describe but never show. This is exactly the kind of work a reel is built for.

The offer: A free 60–90 second piece from a Home on the Westside move-in, a Stories of Impact feature, or a Transform Westside Summit morning. No strings on the first piece, they own the footage.

What I have: A named marketing decision-maker — Shalon Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications — and a named CEO (John Ahmann). No direct email is published for either; the site routes through the general info@westsidefuturefund.org and a media@westsidefuturefund.org address listed under "Media Inquiries" (the marketing/comms team's lane). The greeting assumes either inbox reaches her or her team.

Subject: Free 60–90 second reel for Westside Future Fund

Shalon —

Westside Future Fund's whole mission is rebuilding five neighborhoods without pushing out the people who've always lived in them, and that's the story a website can describe but not show: new neighbors moving onto English Avenue, a longtime homeowner staying in Vine City, a Summit room full of people who've been here for generations.

I make short documentary reels for mission-driven orgs in Atlanta — Ghost Coast Video. I'd like to shoot a free 60–90 second piece for you: a Home on the Westside move-in, a Stories of Impact feature, or a Transform Westside Summit morning. You own the footage, no strings on the first one.

Worth a reply?

Hey — Ghost Coast Video, I make short documentary reels for Atlanta nonprofits.

Before sending

1. Pick the inbox — no direct email is published for Shalon Brown. The site lists info@westsidefuturefund.org (general) and media@westsidefuturefund.org (under "Media Inquiries"). A free-reel offer is a marketing/comms decision, so media@ is the better guess for reaching Shalon Brown's team; info@ is the safe general route. Address her by name; if Brandyn prefers top-level, John Ahmann (President & CEO) is the alternate and the greeting swaps.

2. Org verified active this session. westsidefuturefund.org is live, © 2026, with a current events calendar: Transform Westside Summit Sept 18 and Oct 16, 2026 (7:45–9:00 AM, Eventbrite), Ride for the Westside Sept 26, 2026 (RaceRoster). Stories of Impact is current (August and July Summit recaps, "More New Neighbors on English Avenue: Home on the Westside Welcomes Two New Homeowners," a UPS youth piece). "Home on the Westside" and the property-tax assistance page are live.

3. The five neighborhoods are the hook, not a stat. Vine City, English Avenue, the AUC, Ashview Heights, and Just Us are each named on their own homepage sections. The draft uses "new neighbors moving onto English Avenue" and "a longtime homeowner staying in Vine City" because both are grounded in their current program pages (two new homeowners on English Avenue; the "retain your home" / property-tax assistance arm). Don't add displacement counts, housing totals, or fundraising figures — none were verified.

4. Handles are confirmed, not guessed. Instagram @westsidefuturefund, Facebook facebook.com/westsidefuturefund, LinkedIn linkedin.com/company/westsidefuturefund — all linked from the site footer and contact page. Phone (404) 793-2670, office 970 Jefferson Street NW. The targets.md F1 cell already had the right handles; I added the emails and phone.

5. Word counts: ~118 words email body, ~70 words DM. Both under cap.

6. Keep distinct from the other nonprofit drafts. TREES Atlanta (E13) is the urban forest; Cabbagetown Initiative (E7) is public-spaces stewardship; Wren's Nest (D7) is youth storytelling in a historic house; Atlanta Music Project (D12) is youth music education. WFF's hook is the anti-displacement / mixed-income-community mission across five named neighborhoods and the decades-scale "legacy" story. Do not reuse their copy, do not batch-send.

7. No fabricated metrics or relationships. WFF is a cold prospect, not a client. Every fact above is from their own site this session. No invented program counts, event dates, testimonials, or displacement/housing/fundraising totals. No AI attribution.
